Born in England to British and Lebanese-Armenian parents, Giselle considers herself lucky to have 'grown up expat' in Dubai, UAE for over thirty years.

Living in a true melting pot of cultures, Alfie & Oak is inspired by her expat life, moving to the UAE in 1992 when her father got a new job, missing family on special occasions and not understanding why they lived abroad, and, upon returning to school one September, finding that yet again, her best friend had left Dubai, at a time when staying in touch was a lot harder! Now raising her two children, Frankie and Izzy, Giselle is prepared to pass down her parents' advice to expat children and parents worldwide and help them embrace living in a home away from home.
